8km from Slane on the Drogheda road, there are natural trails in the woods along the steep banks of the river Boyne on the northern side of the road....

This walk takes the visitor a distance of 8km from Navan to Slane along the banks of the River Boyne parallel with the old canal. Beautiful wooded scenery and wildlife can be seen on this path. The Navan entrance to this path is through a small gateway on the left hand side of the Boyne Road which leads from the market square just on the other side of the river....

This is a signposted walking tour through the most interesting parts of the town of Trim. The trail is basically an historic one, mainly highlighting Trim in Norman times. For an information booklet on the tour, call into the Trim Heritage Centre....
