The only complaint I have about the Hotel is that my room was directly looking out on the dart line, which made working in the room very difficult. They are noisey when passing and also they interferre with the television, should you want to watch any. Otherwise food was nice, and facilities were ok.
We really loved the hotel, there was a mix up at the beginning about rooms, as there were 5 of us and only 2 rooms with sleeping area for 4, but the receptionist sorted this out within minutes, she was a pleasure to deal with.
I'm a regular in the North Star. A lovely hotel, competitively priced, friendly helpful staff.. hence my repeat business.
When we got there first we were given the wrong room, when we were put in the right room, it was still being worked on, as there were construction going on in the hotel, the ac didnt work but overall was a good place and would stay again
We had an absolutely amazing stay at The Noth Star Hotel. The hotel was absolutely beautiful and the staff went above and beyond what was expected to insure that our stay was perfect. The room itself was spotlessly clean and when we required additional items such as more coffee and milk for the room, they were sent up within moments. The head of housekeeping even called our room to see if there was anything else we needed. Everyone was so friendly and I have to say that this was one of the best hotel experiences I have ever had. The only two down sides to this trip were the fact that we walked so much that we ended up with terrible blisters and the fact that we had to go home. We're heading up to Dublin again very soon and are already looking forward to booking in again. Thanks guys!
Great location, 5 minutes from bus station, 5 minutes from the very city centre.15 minutes walk to Temple Bar. Hotel fine, value for money. Note refurb taking place so noise starts around 8.45 am but thats when you getting up for a good breakfast and going sightseeing anyway. Free gym and sauna, staff friendly. Would definitely stay again.
OKAY
Compared with other hotels, I would much prefer to re-visit the North Star. It met with my every need with regard to food, location, friendly service, slightly cheaper than equivalent hotel star ratings.
Needed a hotel close to "The Point" and the North Star fitted the bill. Also having car parking on site was great. Would use it again for that purpose or for site seeing in Dublin City Centre.
Good location, easy to find your way around town from here.
Very handy for the city. Nice hotel.
